50 OCs and partners accepted the invitation of the Headmaster, Mr Jeremy McCullough, to attend a Christmas lunch at school on Monday 9th December 2024.

Over coffee, the Headmaster welcomed back to school OCs who had been at school in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s; many of the Old Boys (this was the era before there were girls at the school) were joined by their partners and it was especially nice to see a number of widows of OCs of that period who are, sadly, no longer with us. 

The Headmaster told us that the school continues to offer an holistic approach to education and commented that those who play hard and get fully involved in the wide range of opportunities on offer at the school also work very hard; this has been well reflected in the excellent examination results which the school has achieved in recent years.

The lunch in the Dining Hall was very much enjoyed by all and many commented on the excellent standard of catering.

After lunch the group returned to the recently refurbished OC Pavilion where there was a good opportunity to circulate and catch up with old friends, explore old memories and even meet a few of their former teachers.

The OC Society greatly appreciates this opportunity to meet at the school at this time of year and particularly thanks the headmaster for organising the event. Thanks too for Matt Leek (a much younger OC who is now the OC Pavilion Steward) for manning the bar.
