Although the Seniors’ Group was somewhat depleted on our recent visit to Tyntesfield, Bob and Wendy Jennings and Michael and Maureen Wood were able to make it and we had a fab day out. I’m pleased to report that the sun shone, and it was the perfect day for a meander around the estate.
After the obligatory cup of tea in the café we had a walk down to the vegetable garden before visiting the house. As quilters Maureen and Wendy were delighted to see the “Red dress” which had been embroidered on by people around the world over the course of thirteen years, many of whom who were vulnerable and living in poverty. It was fabulous! After a good look around the house the group decamped to the café for lunch to finish a very enjoyable day out.
