Old Colstonians Week with Upper Sixth students 2018

The OCs had a couple of sessions with upper sixth formers the week commencing the 19th February this year. This proved to be successful and valuable. We were able to sign up the majority of U6 to Colston's Connected which will prove invaluable for everyone to be able to keep in touch, as well as enabling us to communicate OC events.

The OC Forum was also very successful, tea and cake was enjoyed by all! A big thankyou to all those OCs who came along to share their story and offer advice-
Dr Alana Tooze, Sir Robert Syms MP, Mr John Wright, Mr Ian Gunn, Mr Mark Plenty, Mr Bob Jennings, Mr Douglas Lodge and supported by Ms Emma Frederick’s.

The students were interested in a number of career paths including Politics, Law, Accountancy Marketing and a number of other fields. We have been able to put a couple of students in touch with OCs in their chosen profession so that they can offer advice for the students' future careers.

We will be running a similar OC week next year, with a few tweaks to help things tick along. Many thanks also to Ms Sarah Matthews head of sixth form who made this happen.
