Richard Jefferies (OC, 1968) recently got in touch as he was over visiting from Australia, and we were delighted to welcome both him and David Froude (OC, 1967) back to school for a visit.

Both Richard and David had very fond memories of school- not that it was easy, but that it gave them some really great opportunitiies such as foreign travel, and that it really set them up for life with a great skillset and outlook on life. The fact that learning never ends was somethng that struck a chord with both and Richard has latterly added a Masters in International Commercial Law to his ongoing learning.

Since studying German A Level together, Richard went on to have a very successful career in manufacturing, working for many years in Germany, and David also had an extrememly succesful career in banking, working as the Bank Manager for Midland (HSBC) in Corn Street. David is currently Lay Canon Emeritus at Bristol Cathedral.

It was amazing how much detail both Richard and David could recall about school life and we were really pleased to welcome them both back. It's great to see the enduring school friendships in action 50+ years later.
