Robert Carpenter (OC, 1948)

We are sorry to let you know that Robert passed away on 13th May aged 92. Robert attended Colston's 1943-1948, having proudly achieved a scholarship, coming 3/100. He loved his time at school and he had very fond memories of it, often speaking about it.

Robert went on to become a chartered accountant and later set up his own recruitment business (which later joined KPMG). Work took him to London and the family moved to East Sussex, but he visited the school about 20 years ago.

Robert’s son, Robert, said that Bristol was always the family’s spiritual home, and that his Dad had very happy memories of his time at school.

We send our best wishes to Robert’s family at this sad time.
