We had a last afternoon/evening in the Pavilion on Saturday 14th October when chilli and baguettes were served. There was a full afternoon of rugby at school with two teams playing Dursley. With the World Cup Rugby to watch afterwards it was a full programme of Rugby and a fitting send-off for the Pavilion in its current incarnation.
A team of OCs and OCRFC members subsequently cleared away the memorabilia, putting it in storage ready for the works to start on Monday 14th October. The refurbishment is due to be completed by Friday 15th December when the 2023 leavers will the first ones to experience the new and imporved Pavilion.
The bar is being extended and the kitchen re-sited, the whole Pavilion will be DDA compliant with a lower bar, an indiction loop, new toilets and a new entrance. The floor will be re-sanded and the redecoration taking place will include a new ceiling and improved lighting. We will also have some new displays, a new TV and new furniture.
We are planning on extending how we use the Pavilion and more news will follow in due course. We look forward to welcoming you to the Pavilion once the works are completed.
