We had a lovely surprise today when Frank Venables and his wife dropped in unexpectedly as part of their 60th wedding anniversary celebrations.

Frank has had the most amazing career since graduating from Oxford and this has involved two stints of working abroad in the Netherlands and France. Frank has worked for the civil service and NATO as well as in several large businesses. All in all he has had nine careers!

Frank's two boys also spent time at Colston's before the family moved abroad- areal OC family!

What a very pleasant morning we had visiting the site noting that, although the site had changed in many ways, some of the buildings were as Frank rememebred them. He was particuallry interested to see his old form room which now forms part of the Science block.

We are always happy to receive visitors so if you fancy a visit, please do get in contact. It's been 66 years since Frank has been back to tour the school so he is a good example of it never being too late!
