Colin Sexstone (2 July 1948 ― 24 February 2023)

We were saddened to hear of the recent passing of Colin Sextone, OC.

Born in South Bristol and educated at Luckwell, South Street and Colston’s School, Colin went on to complete a Business Studies degree at the Bristol College of Commerce.

Colin started his professional career working for G.B. Britton before joining the R.A.F where he enjoyed a 25-year career, retiring in 1996 as Group Captain. Appointed as chief executive of Gloucestershire County Cricket Club in 1996, Colin helped the club develop the County Ground to international standards. During his five-year tenure, Gloucestershire went onto win five trophies. Colin was a former Chairman of Bristol City Football Club and following this would go on to hold further roles in the game at Plymouth Argyle and Bristol Rovers.

The funeral details are as follows; March 16th at 2.00 pm at Westbury-on-Trym Holy Trinity Church followed by a wake at RAFA club, Eastfield, Westbury-on-Trym. at 3.00pm

Colin will be missed by all that knew him and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time.
