Our condolences

Jeffrey William Savage,O.C.(1955 -1960)

With much regret we have to advise that Jeff passed away on the 28th  November, after a short spell in hospital.

Jeff won a scholarship to Colston's School in 1955 and joined Aldington House.  A rapid athletics sprinter, he also became one of the fastest centre-threequarters in House and School rugby.  On leaving Colston's, Jeff initially joined the Port of Bristol Authority, but his friendly and engaging personality made him ideally suited to the sales field, and there followed a career in pharmaceuticals, and thereafter in motorcycle components and accessories. His final enterprise was setting up and successfully developing the Southwest operations of a national oil company.

Many of Jeff's friends stemmed from his days at Colston’s, and he rarely missed an Annual Dinner or an O.C trip.  Always very popular and welcoming, Jeff will be sadly missed by many people. The funeral will be held on the 5th January 2024 at 11.30am at Haycombe Cemetery, Bath, and afterwards at the Globe Inn, Newton St. Loe.

Our condolences are extended to Jeff's wife Sandra, his brother Andy, and to their families.
