Ian Whyte, Tony Ridge and Richard Lewis (left to right) are in an ad hoc and loose group of 1956 Colston's entrants who try to keep in touch mainly via e-mail and the Annual Dinner. They met for lunch recently in an hotel in Ellesmere Port when Ian was visiting the area. Ian lives near the New Forest, Tony in the Black Country and Richard on the Wirral. A fourth contemporary John Ashley was scheduled to attend but at the last minute the unpredictability of a house move prevented that. Memory lane was explored and much laughter ensued. Perhaps ears were burning elsewhere. Two of the wives resorted to the nearby Cheshire Oaks Retail Outlet where some strain on credit cards was the price paid for the reunion. If any OC is living in or passing through the Midlands/North West area and would like to attend a similar small off- the-cuff gathering, please get in touch.
